Then as now, our products are developed at Taylor Hobson's world renowned research and development facility in Leicester, and our success relies on unrivalled expertise and knowledge in the field of
form and surface metrology.

Today, Taylor Hobson's commitment to innovation is sustained by a research, design, development and production engineering team representing over 25% of the workforce. A strong research team has given us more than 40 patents, which are registered in many countries throughout the world. We have powerful design tools at the disposal of all our engineers for mechanical, electrical and software modelling. Finite element analysis software is used to help us to achieve the very highest levels of performance and repeatability. Taylor Hobson collaborates with a number of major academic institutions and national institutes, to ensure that we use the most appropriate leading edge techniques and technologies.
